The following are examples of some of the results we have retained for our clients.

Bad Faith Recovery – $345,000 Recovered

Our client’s home sustained water damage and the insurer contended that the amount of the claim was less than $5,000.  We ultimately filed a bad faith lawsuit against the insurer which resulted in total additional payments of $345,000 which primarily consisted of bad faith damages related to the insurer’s low-ball claims payment and wrongful handling of the claim.

Bad Faith Recovery – Ten Times the Contractual Damages Amount

Our client’s home sustained water damage and after the insurer was forced to issue payment for repairs we filed a bad faith lawsuit related to the insurer’s wrongful conduct during the handling of the claim.  The bad faith lawsuit was settled for over ten times the amount of the contractual damages owed for repairs. 

Bad Faith Recovery – $250,000 Recovered above Contractual Claim Amount

Our client’s home sustained water damage and the insurer contended approximately $10,000.00 was owed.  After the insurer was forced to pay substantially more for repairs we filed a bad faith lawsuit which resulted in a total recovery of $250,000 for bad faith damages above the claim amount.

Hurricane Matthew – $375,000

We filed a lawsuit after the insurance company failed to acknowledge of our client’s claim for damages sustained from Hurricane Matthew. Thereafter, the insurance company agreed to pay our client $375,000 for damages sustained from Hurricane Matthew.

Hurricane Matthew – $850,000

Our client’s home sustained damage from Hurricane Matthew and received a total recovery of $850,000.

Water Damage and Plumbing Failure – $130,000

Our client’s home sustained water damage which required accessing the plumbing system to perform proper repairs.  The insurance company claimed only $16,000.00 was owed and refused to issue payment.  Shortly before trial, the insurance company issued a payment of $130,000.00.  A bad faith lawsuit was subsequently filed and is pending.

Water Damage – $135,000

Our client’s home sustained damage from an air conditioner overflow.  The insurance company denied the claim by asserting that the damage was caused by a long-term leak.  We ultimately forced the insurance company to issue a total payment of $135,000.00, which resulted in our client receiving nearly twice the claimed amount for repairs due to the insurance company’s wrongful denial of the claim.

Examination Under Oath – Claim Paid in Full

After our client reported a claim for property damage the insurance company requested an Examination Under Oath.  Ultimately, the insurance company asserted that a misrepresentation in the insurance application was made and denied the claim.  After filing suit, we forced the insurance company to reverse its wrongful denial and pay the entire amount claimed by our client.  Thereafter, we recovered our attorney’s fees and costs from the insurance company.

Sinkhole – $170,000 Recovered

Our client’s home sustained substantial damage which he reported to the insurance company.  A denial of the claim was issued based on an engineer’s report that was retained by the insurance company.  We retained a competing engineer on behalf of our client and forced the insurance company to pay $170,000.00 for the claim it denied.

Water Damage – Claim Paid in Full

Our client home sustained water damage which damaged her tile floor.  The insurance company refused to pay to replace the continuous flooring.  Shortly before trial, the insurance company paid the full contractual amount claimed.  The court subsequently entered a judgment for our attorneys’ fees and costs.  A bad faith lawsuit seeking extra-contractual damages is pending.

Water Damage – $225,000 Recovered

After our client’s home sustained water damage the insurance company contended that approximately $30,000.00 was owed and refused to issue additional payments.  Shortly before trial, the insurance company issued a payment of $225,000.00 which included the full amount of the claim and damages related to the insurance company’s claim delay.

Bad Faith Recovery – Four Times the Claim Amount

After forcing an insurance company to issue additional payment for our client’s claim, we filed a bad faith lawsuit related to the insurance companies low-ball payment and claim delay.  A total settlement was obtained for four times the contractual claim amount.

Hurricane Matthew – Policy Limit Recovered

After our client’s property sustained extensive damage from Hurricane Matthew the insurance company contended that approximately $30,000 was owed.  The insurance company was ultimately forced to issue the policy limit and a bad faith lawsuit is pending related to the insurance company’s claim delay and low-ball claim payment.

Water Damage and Plumbing Failure – $125,000 Recovered

A plumbing failure required that the plumbing system be accessed to repair the plumbing failure to resulting water damage. The insurance company contended that approximately 12,000.00 was owed and refused to issue additional payments. Shortly before trial, the insurance company issued an additional payment in the total amount of $125,000.

The insurance company denied our clients claim for water damage by asserting that the damage was long term and refused to issue any payments. Shortly before trial, a total settlement of $110,000 was obtained which resulted in our client receiving more than twice the full amount claimed due to the insurance companies delay and wrongful denial.

Our client’s home sustained water damage and the insurance company contended that $16,500 was the amount owed and refused to issue additional payment. Bad Faith Recovery – Three Times the Claim Amount

Our client sustained damage resulting from a plumbing failure.  The insurance company issued a low-ball payment and then failed to respond to the claim. The insurance company was ultimately forced to pay nearly six times the amount it claimed was owed for repairs. STRUBLE, P.A. filed a bad faith lawsuit which resulted in the insurance company paying extra-contractual damages of fifteen times the amount it initially claimed was owed and nearly three times the full amount of contractual damages.

Water Damage – $125,000 Recovered

Our client sustained water damage from a condominium unit located above the insured property. The insurance company contended that approximately $5,000 was owed and asserted that exclusions barred further recovery. Shortly before trial, STRUBLE, P.A. forced the insurance company to issue payment of $125,000, which resulted in the client netting nearly three times more than the amount claimed.

Examination Under Oath – $190,000 Recovered

When our clients returned home from vacation they discovered that there home had flooded from a broken toilet valve. The insurance company contended that approximately $20,500 was the total amount owed. When its insureds attempted to challenge this payment, the insurance company began requested voluminous documents and EUOs. We were retained to represent the insureds at the EUOs and subsequently filed suit. The insurance company was ultimately forced to issue total additional payments in excess of $190,000.

Water Damage – Plumbing Failure $150,000 Recovered

Our clients hone sustained damage when a pipe in the kitchen broke resulting in water damage. The insurance company issued payment for approximately $10,000 and refuse to issue any additional payments. Shortly before trial, STRUBLE, P.A. forced the insurance company to issue a total payment of $150,000 and our client obtained more than the full amount claimed due to the insurance companies delay.

The insurance company claimed that only approximately $5,000 was owed for damage resulting from a plumbing failure and asserted that exclusion prohibited further recovery. STRUBLE, P.A. forced the insurance company to issue a total payment of $90,000 which resulted in our client receiving nearly twice the amount claimed due to the insurance company’s claim delay.

Bad Faith Recovery – Five Times Claim Amount

The insurance company issued a low-ball payment after our client sustained damage from a roof leak and contended that exclusion prohibited further recovery.  STRUBLE, P.A. filed suit which was ultimately amended to assert a bad faith claim which resulted in the insurance company issuing extra-contractual damages of approximately fifteen time the amount it claimed was owed for contractual damages and approximately five times the amount owed for contractual damages due to the insurance company withholding additional coverages owed during the adjustment of the claim.

Our client received a low-ball claim payment and we ultimately filed a bad faith lawsuit. STRUBLE, P.A. forced the insurance company to pay extra-contractual damages nearly ten times the contractual amount the insurer contended was owed and nearly three times the full amount of the contractual damages owed.

Examination Under Oath – $130,000 Recovered

STRUBLE, P.A. was retained to represent an insured in an EUO.  Following the EUO, the insurance company refused to honor the claim and a lawsuit was ultimately filed and STRUBLE, P.A. forced the insurance company to issue a payment of $130,000. 

Examination Under Oath – Claim Paid in Full

We were retained to represent an insured required to appear for an EUO.  Following the EUO, the insurance company denied the claim asserting that our client made misrepresentations related to the policy and claim. STRUBLE, P.A. ultimately filed a lawsuit and, despite the complete denial, forced the insurance company to pay the full amount claimed by our client.  The insurance company subsequently paid our attorney’s fees and costs incurred to overturn the denial.

Water Damage – $140,000 Recovered

Our client’s home sustained water damage from a refrigerator leak.  The insurance company issued payment of approximately $6,000 and contended that policy exclusion prohibited further recovery.  Shortly before trial, STRUBLE, P.A. forced the insurance company to issue a total payment of $140,000.

Our client’s property sustained water damage and the insurance company contended that policy conditions precluded our client from receiving payment.  Shortly before trial, STRUBLE, P.A. forced the insurance company to issue a payment of $125,000.

Mold Damage – Policy Limit Paid

Our client’s home sustained mold damage which the insurance company asserted was excluded and refused to issue any payments.  STRUBLE, P.A. filed suit and forced the insurance company to pay twice the applicable mold limit to our client.  Thereafter, the insurance company was required to pay our attorney’s fees and costs incurred.

The insurance company claimed that approximately $2,000 was the amount owed and then contended that any further recovery was precluded.  Shortly before trial, STRUBLE, P.A. forced the insurance company to pay our clients twenty times the amount issued.  Thereafter, the insurance company was required to pay our attorney’s fees and costs incurred.

The insurance company claimed that approximately $2,000 was the amount owed for the damage caused by Hurricane Matthew.  STRUBLE, P.A. filed suit and forced the insurance company to pay our clients over twenty times the amount issued by the insurance company. Additionally, the insurance company was required to pay our attorney’s fees and costs incurred.

Our client sustained damage from Hurricane Matthew and the insurance company was ultimately forced to issue payments of approximately $115,000.  Additionally, a bad faith lawsuit is pending seeking extra-contractual damages related to the insurance company’s handling of the claim.

STRUBLE, P.A. filed suit and the insurance company subsequently issued a payment of thirty times the amount is claimed was owed for damage caused by Hurricane Matthew.   Additional damages are being pursued for our client.

The insurance company asserted that approximately $14,000 was the amount owed for damage caused by Hurricane Matthew.  After STRUBLE, P.A. was retained, it forced the insurance company to issue an additional payment to our client in excess of $100,000.  Additional damages are being pursued for our client.

After our client’s home was damaged by a first the insurance company asserted that no payments would be issued to our client and it would perform the repairs for approximately $29,000.  STRUBLE, P.A. filed a lawsuit and the insurance company issued payments in excess of $90,000 and issued payment directly to our client.

Hurricane Irma - $1,145,000.00 Recovered

Our clients’ property sustained damage from Hurricane Irma and we successfully assisted in helping our clients recover $1,145,000.00 for their claim.

Hurricane Matthew- $260,000.00 Recovered

Our clients’ property sustained damage from Hurricane Matthew and the claim was denied by the insurance company.  We filed a lawsuit and retained multiple experts including an engineer and meteorologist and the case settled shortly before trial for $260,000.00.

Bad Faith Recovery - Additional Policy Limit
